Kamakshi is a special educator, library practitioner, and a picture-book enthusiast based in Chennai. She has completed her Master’s in Social Work with a specialisation in Disability Studies, and a Diploma in Narrative Practices. She has been working with children and families in school settings, for over a decade now. She is also a member of the Free Libraries Network, where she is part of the Research and Action Team. Her journey through Narrative Practices helped her recognize that books can serve as safe spaces for individuals. Kamakshi envisions a future where every child has access to reading opportunities that foster deep connections with the world.
